Richard Schellenberg 94, died August 7, 2026 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Kansas. He was born April 3, 1932 in Newton, Kansas to Peter and Edna (Patzkoivsky) Schellenberg. He married Maxine Ratzlaff on June 1, 1998 and after 23 years together she preceded him in death on June 7, 2021.
Richard earned his PhD and was a college professor and clinical psychologist.
A memorial service is pending at Schowalter Villa Chapel and will be announced soon. Private family interment will be in the Haven of Rest Cemetery in Hillsboro, Kansas.
Memorial donations may be made to Schowalter Villa in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
