Mary L Schlup

Mary L. Schlup 91, died Wednesday, October21, 2026 at her residence.  She was born February 19, 1936 in Moundridge, Kansas to Louis and Malinda (Unruh) Koehn. On June 10, 1953 she married Kenneth G. Schlup Sr. at Newton and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2022.

Mary was a retired phone operator.

She is survived by her son Kenneth Schlup Jr. (Nancy); daughter Bobbye Schlup; two brothers Bud and Lee Koehn and one sister Gladys Benuche. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Parents, brother Stanley Koehn and sister Darlene Koehn.

Graveside committal will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery Newton with Chaplain John Hull officiating. 

Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
