Richard Dean Fields

Richard Dean Fields 67 passed September 23, 2026, surrounded by Family at St. Francis hospital in Wichita, He was born August 24,1959 in Newton, Kansas to Robert L. Fields and Vickie D. (Vogt) Shook.

He served in the United States Marines and was honorably discharged. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Newton.

Richard is survived by his mother Vickie Shook, son Travis Fields and daughter Brandi (Justin) Hankins; he is also survived by 3 sisters Terri (James) Sadowsky; Natalie (Kevin) Boston; and Debbie (Ray) Bergquist. Two grandchildren Rileigh Hankins and Landon Hankins.

He is preceded in death by his father Robert Fields.

Funeral will be 10:00a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church with The Rev. Andrew Bergkamp, Celebrant. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Petersen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery
