Bill Edward Roach

William “Bill” Edward Roach, 68, of Newton, Kansas, died unexpectedly on November 4, 2023, at his home.

He was born on December 10, 1954, in Augusta, Georgia, the son of Dean and Lois Mae (Woods) Roach. The family would later move to Newton where Bill would attend Newton High School, graduating with the class of 1973.

On May 8, 1981, Bill was united in marriage to Beverly (Jackson) Roach in Newton. Together they shared 42 happy years of togetherness.

For 39 years Bill was a dedicated worker at BNSF Railroad, working as an NOC Manager. He retired in 2016.

Bill was a loyal and faithful member of the First Church of God in Newton and currently served his church as treasurer, a position that brought him joy and suited him well.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Roach; mother, Lois Mae Roach; children, Adam (Amanda) Roach and Ashley (Jonathan) Elin; grandchildren, Natalie Roach, Tyler Roach, Grace Elin, and Brayden Elin; brother, Kevin Roach; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Roach; daughter, Jennifer Roach; and brother, Doug Roach.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, to be announced.
