Steven Smet

Steve Smet died peacefully at his home in Newton, Kansas on December 7, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Diane. Steve was a devoted husband and a great father. He leaves his wife, Connie; father, Ron; four daughters, Megan (Michael), Alissa (James), Michelle (Jeff), and Amanda (Loren); and one son, Corey (Kristin). He was the proud grandfather of nine: Peyton, Maylee, Mason, Genevieve, Rhett, Logan, Lyla, Jack, and Lucas.

In addition to being a family man, Steve was an avid fisherman, and he traveled as much as he could. Steve was a friend to all and always ready for a party.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 10:00 am at Petersen’s Funeral Home in Newton, Kansas.
