Ronald Fredrick Bedlington was born on April 29, 1931 to Diana and Edward Bedlington in Canada. The family moved to New Jersey where he spent his childhood along with his five sisters. He was very proud to be an American even as a young man. That pride never went away, when shopping he would always check the tags on articles he was purchasing and would choose a product made in the USA whenever the option was available. In 1953 Ronald married Charlotte and they moved to California. They had three sons, Tom, Jim and Rick. Ronald was very proud to be a “Teamster” truck driver, hauling construction equipment for 35 years. Ron loved his family, was an animal lover, especially dogs & cats, he loved big cars, enjoyed flying and had fun in casinos. Ronald passed away in Newton, Kansas on December 10, 2014. He is predeceased by his parents, & son Jim. He is survived by sons; Tom Bedlington and wife Lori, and Rick Bedlington; stepson Stephen Riebold; 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on December 13, 214 at 1pm in Greenwood Cemetery officiated by Chaplain Janine Arnold of Newton Medical Center.
