Rebecca Jean (Martinez) Lambert, 61, was born to Alberto and Annie Martinez on August 24, 1964, in Newton, Kansas. Attended elementary school in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1982.

She married Kevin J. Lambert on November 8, 1983. He survives at home in Sedgwick, Ks.

She was employed at Kidron Bethel Village for 7 years. She enjoyed her work and fellow employees.

She was a devoted wife and mother. Very proud of her 3 surviving sons and their artistic endeavors. Her first son Joseph, Philadelphia, Pa. is a successful Illustrator of children’s books. Joshua is a freelance Graphic Artist and Adam, the youngest, is a former muralist painter and is currently employed with a small company the produces unique and limited-edition lamps. Both boys reside in Brooklyn, New York.

Rebecca’s home is filled with many of Adam’s ceramic pieces that he created while in high school.

She was preceded in death by her mother Annie and older sister (her bestest friend) Angelina Romero and nephews Cruz Romero and Nathan Martinez.

Survivors include her father Alberto Martinez and brothers Vincent and John (Jennifer) Martinez and nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel on October 3, 2025 at 2p.m. with a burial at St. Mary Cemetery right after.
