Norma Jean Tipton 87 died June 5, 2025, at her home. She was born April 11, 1938, in Snowball, Arkansas to Audy E. and Fairy M. (Taylor) Turney.
In May of 1957 she married Herman Baker and they were later divorced; she then married Ted Neuenschwander and he preceded her in death. In August of 1991 she married Jerry W. Tipton and he survives of the home.
Norma was the first pioneering female to be hired at Hesston Corp in the shop and worked her way to being a machinist prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her husband Jerry of the home; son Bryce Baker and stepson Gary Tipton; daughter Daylene (Richard) Johnson; Terrie (Don Terry Jr.) Sowell; stepdaughter Dee (Ron) Ekstrom; sister Pauline Nail and Maxine Miller. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law Tom and her prior spouses.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Monday June 9, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hesston City Cemetery.
