Michael “Bruce” Mathia

Michael Bruce Mathia, age 65, passed away March 25, 2019 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS surrounded by his family. Bruce was born February, 1954 to Donald and Patricia Mathia in Kansas City, KS.

Bruce married Delila Woodcock and were very happily married for 44 years. Two children were born to that union,  Michael and Sarah. Bruce worked as an Aerospace Design Engineer at Boeing for 39 years. He was also a professional nature photographer who loved capturing the beauty of mother nature and felt most at home in the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Patricia; and brother, Victor Mathia.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Delila; son, Michael Brian Mathia of Wichita, KS; daughter, Sarah Mathia of Derby, KS; brothers, Dave Mathia of Kansas City, MO, Jim Mathia of Oak Grove, MO; sister, Teresa Wilson of Raytown, MO.

Bruce never wanted to be fussed over, so he requested no service or memorial, just fond and happy memories of him to be shared to uplift his family.
