Lynn E. Swarts,84, was born on February 19, 1941, in Newton, Kansas, passed away on October 2, 2025, in Walton, Kansas, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted father and grandfather, Lynn is remembered for his warmth, generosity, and willingness to lend a hand to those in need.

Lynn dedicated much of his career to Hehr Glass in Newton, where he skillfully worked as a glass cutter and in the shipping department. Beyond his professional endeavors, he was passionate about cars and enjoyed attending car shows, where he proudly showcased his cherished 1963 Falcon as part of the Newton Railrodders car club. His love for tinkering was well-known; he could always be found searching for treasures at local garage sales, reveling in the thrill of the find and the opportunity to fix and repurpose items.

He was also a former member of the Newton Eagles Lodge, where he engaged with the community and formed lasting relationships. Lynn's personality shone brightly through his efforts to help others, sharing his knowledge generously and demonstrating a remarkable ability to solve problems. Lynn was a fan of John Wayne and enjoyed relaxing with a familar old movie. 

Lynn is survived by his beloved sons, Lynn Swarts Jr., Laron Swarts, and Greg Swarts; his daughter, Lori Bedlington; his sister, Gloria; as well as 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Abraham Swarts; his mother, Margaret Eberhart; his brother, Kay Swarts; his sister, Wanda Dyck; his stillborn son, Gary Swarts; and his granddaughter, Amber.

A graveside service will be held at Walton Cemetery, located at 7100 N Walton Ave in Walton, Kansas, on October 6, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM. With Chaplain John Hull officiating. All who knew and loved Lynn are invited to gather in remembrance and support of the family.

The family would like to acknowledge the care and support they received from the staff and team of Good Shepherd Hospice to care for Lynn during his illness. 

Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
