Leonard Hale

Leonard Sylvester Hale passed peacefully and quietly Saturday June 13, 2026, at Halstead Health & Rehab.

Born on October 29, 1944, in Newton Kansas to Preston and Marie Hale. Leonard graduated from Newton High school in 1963 and spent 3 years in the Navy serving on the Aircraft Carrier USS Oriskany. He married Jacquilen Feldman (also of Newton) in 1967 while serving in the Navy, residing in San Diego until moving to Halstead in 2006.

Leonard’s electronics and communication skills continued after his time in the Navy and contributed to his careers at AT&T and Qualcomm in California. He enjoyed life to the fullest with his family and friends and will be sorely missed.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Preston and Marie Hale, and daughter Kimberly Lynn Hale and is survived by his wife Jaucquie Hale, Son Corey Scott (Jenny) Hale of Virginia, Sister Connie (John) Rhodes of Newton, two Grandsons Preston Hale (Florida) and Parker Hale (Texas), One Granddaughter Stephanie (Nathan) Werdowatz of San Diego, and three great grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held later. Please don't send flowers but if you want you can donate to American Diabetes Association.
