Kathryn Kay Arrington, 71, of North Newton, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Newton Medical Center. Born on December 9, 1954, in Wichita, Kansas, to Ralph and Rosemary Lowry, Kathy lived a life rooted in love, family, and faith.
On September 22, 1979, Kathy married Floyd Dean Arrington, the love of her life. Together they raised three children: Erica (Erik) Mason of Maize, Kansas; Tyler (Christina) Arrington of Newton, Kansas; and Elizabeth (Jeremy) Wallace of Wichita, Kansas. She was also a proud grandmother of nine grandchildren—McKenna Luna, Chloee Toppings, Collin Toppings, Destiny Arrington, Brody Wallace, Brlynne Mason, Ian Arrington, Chandler Mason, and Landon Wallace—and three great-grandchildren: Emberlenn Toppings, Oakley Toppings, and River Toppings.
Kathy found great joy in spending time with her loved ones and caring for her dogs, Ash and Rambo. Her church family at Outside the Wall was also a deeply meaningful part of her life. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A celebration of life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Outside the Walls Church, 431 West 12th Street, Newton, Kansas.
