Judith Joanne Oswald Long

September 3, 1936 — August 12, 2024

Judith Joanne Long, age 87, passed from this world to eternity with The Lord and Savior on August 12, 2024 at home with her husband.

She was born on September 3rd, 1936 to Chester I and Mary M. Brainard in Newton, Kansas. Judith was the ninth child of ten, all preceding her in death.

Judith wed Carl John Oswald in 1955 and were married for 47 years. From that union, were born two children. Richard (Jacquie) Oswald (deceased), and John (Sandy) Oswald and two grandchildren, Justin and (Christopher deceased).

Judy and Hugh met at a grief support group and two and a half years later on April 30, 2004 they eloped at Eureka Springs, AR, where they were married at a small church on the grounds off the “Passion” play.

Judy’s joy was in quilting and fellowship of others. She spent hours in her sewing room crafting her quilts. Judy also loved to cook meals for her friends and family and greatly enjoyed the memories that emerged from these events. The greatest part all to know is she is having all of that joy and more with Jesus.
