Jimmie Osborn

Jimmie Osborn, 91, died May 11, 2022 at his home in Newton Kansas.

He was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Burl and Julia Osborn on October 27, 1930. He married Virginia Gutschow and had three children together, Jimmy Osborn, Don Osborn, Jay Osborn. They were later divorced and she preceded him in death.

Jimmie was employed as a heavy equipment operator and worked in this field for the better part of his life. It was while he was working as an operator, Jimmie met laFawn. The two would wed in 1971 and they enjoyed many years together until her passing.

He is survived by his three children, his grandkids and many friends.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents Burl and Julia Belle, siblings Gladys, Edith, Hazel, and William.

A memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m.  Friday, June 17, 2022 at Petersen Funeral Chapel, 215 North Main Street, Newton Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to First Baptist Church Protection,  EMS Protection, and/or Good Shepard Hospice.
