Frances (Wechsler) Buskey passed from this life on February 23, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 22, 1942 to Clara and Samuel Wechsler in Bronx, New York. Frances earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, practicing as a Registered Nurse for more than 40 years at a career she loved. She was very talented, teaching herself to play the piano, which paired well with her enjoyment of classical music, she also was a self-taught artist drawing and painting throughout her life. Frances shared her life and love with very special animals, her dog “Honeybell” and cats, “Trouble” & “Grumpy”. She loved animals, and had a special relationship with her daughter’s dog, “Chloe”, who was able to tell Frances was ill, checking in on her & keeping her company. Reading was a huge part of her life, she enjoyed subjects ranging from Knights Templar, history, politics & a recent favorite “Game of Thrones” which she read through twice! Frances and her daughter Heidi went on a trip that led them through Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Amarillo. They explored the cities, took great pictures, and in Amarillo stopped at The Big Texan Steak Ranch, which lived on in memories shared with friends and family after they arrived home. Frances is preceded in death by husband, Andy Anderson; parents; brother, Joseph Wechsler. Survived by daughters, Heidi Buskey & Harriel Mack; Debra & Scott Hoch; son, Jeffrey Buskey; two grandchildren Grant Buskey and Harriel Mack Jr.; sister, Elaine Seidenberg. Private family services held Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Memorial contributions may be made out to Caring Hands Humane Society or Good Shepherd Hospice.
