Evelyn L Seybert

Evelyn L. “Evie” Seybert 76 died September 23, 2024, at her Newton residence. She was born November 2, 1947, to Preston and Nellie Bolmer. She was raised by her mother Nellie and Step-Father William “Bill” Oxford. Evie attended church school and college in Dodge City, Kansas. She became a Para for special education which she truly loved. One of Eveyln’s greatest joys was spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren. Being their Nana was her favorite title. 

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Betty Richardson and Phyllis Clark.

Survivors include daughter Kandi (wife Lisa Yearwood) Dietrich, sons Justin (wife Kayla) Seybert and Steven Pope, five wonderful grandchildren Jake, Addie, Emma, Charlie and Ember, brother Virgil (Cathy) Oxford, nieces and nephews and a multitude of caring friends who prayed with her and loved her.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday September 27, 2024, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chip Bungard officiating. Private family interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery Newton, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice of Charity and left with Petersen Funeral Home.
