Douglas Charles Livesay

Jan 15, 1978 — Sep 7, 2026

Douglas (Doug) Charles Livesay, age 48, passed away on September 7, 2026. He was born on January 15, 1978 in Miami, Oklahoma to Martha Alice (Smith) Livesay and Everett Randal Livesay.

After graduating from Winfield High School, Doug attended Independence Community College to play football and finished his bachelor's degree in Business at Southwestern College. He earned a master’s degree in Sports Management from Baker University and completed his MBA in Supply Chain Management from Arkansas State University. He enjoyed his job as the Supply Chain Manager at GKN Aerospace.

Doug cherished his family and friends. He and Sarah were married on July 8, 2000. His proudest accomplishment was being Caden’s dad. He loved to watch sports, travel and make memories with his family. His sense of humor helped guarantee there were plenty of corny jokes and good natured teasing to keep memories of trips and games alive.

A life-long fan of baseball and football, Doug cheered loudly and proudly for the Kansas City Chiefs and his beloved Oklahoma Sooners. He spent time coaching youth baseball and football and served as the president of the Newton Junior Railers Football club when Caden played. Doug enjoyed collecting sports cards of all kinds and was always ready for a sports trivia session with Caden. His passion for sports made him an avid watcher of the Little League World Series and college football and softball. The games Doug most loved to cheer at were those in which Caden and his niece and nephew played.

Doug is survived by his wife, Sarah; son, Caden; brother Tim (Melissa) Livesay; niece, Tegan Livesay; and nephew, Jensen Livesay. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
