Donald Warren Terrill died at home Monday, June 30, 2014 in Newton, Kansas.  He was born to Forrest and Olive Terrill on December 13, 1926 in Arkansas City, Kansas.  He later met Alice Davis, they married on April 10, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri.  They had two children together, son, David and daughter, Robyn.  He served his country in the US Navy from 1944-1951.  Don served as a Vice President of Railroad Savings & Loan until he retired in 1988.  He also worked as a real estate broker for over 20 years.  Keeping with his serving nature Don volunteered at Newton Medical Center for 2 years. Don was an avid fan of baseball, basketball and was a diehard KU fan.  Don was very proud of all of his grandchildren, and was always a true supporter. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was an active member of the church choir dividing his talent singing and playing trumpet in Newton Kansas. He also served as scout master. Don is preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife Alice Terrill of the home, son, David Terrill of Newton; daughter, Robyn & husband Boyd Weber of Newton; grandchildren, Dr. Dustin Weber, Brooks Weber, Alex Weber, Ryan Terrill & Jamee Schneider; great grandchildren, Morgan Schneider & Dawson Schneider; Brother in law Chuck Davis and wife Maxine of Loveland, Colorado. 

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Restlawn Gardens of Memory rural Newton, Kansas with Chaplain Frances Rathbun presiding.  Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
