Dennis Seyfert

Dennis L. Seyfert, 74, peacefully passed away on June 26, 2026, in Newton, Kansas.

Dennis was born on July 7, 1951, in Ellsworth, Kansas, to Harold W. Seyfert and Evadine W. (Thorne) Seyfert. He graduated from Claflin High School in 1969. Dennis graduated from Salina vocational school in 1971, after which he began working for Central Plastics in McPherson.

On March 20, 1976, Dennis married Sharon Cowan and they spent their years in McPherson County, Kansas. Dennis retired as a Maintenance Manager for Central Plastics in 2020.

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Seyfert; and his parents, Harold and Evadine Seyfert.

Dennis is survived by his sisters, Karen (Seyfert) DeGrazio and Cindy (Seyfert) Sheffield; his nieces, Adria (DeGrazio) Symons and Nicole (Sheffield) Thompson; and his nephew, Barry DeGrazio; as well as many extended family members.

Dennis had a deep love for animals. He rescued and adopted many over the years. He enjoyed the outdoors and had an extensive collection of antique fans.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the McPherson County Humane Society, and left in the care of Petersen Funeral Home, Newton, Kansas.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
