Darin E. Schrag

Darin Eugene Schrag, son of Laura Ann & Elmer Schrag, died Saturday, July 28 at his home in San Antonio, TX, following a long struggle with alcohol addiction. He is survived by a beloved daughter, Elyssia Schrag of Canyon Lake, TX and a grandson, Grayson, as well as his mother at Kidron in Newton and his sister Michelle Goering of San Diego. He was 49.

Darin worked for Frito-Lay for 18 years, and was valued as a capable manager. He was an avid reader of thrillers, had a sharp and honest wit and a compassionate nature. He loved the outdoors, especially being on the water, and went to natural parks often. He was enthusiastic about his San Antonio Spurs, roller coasters, motorcycles, and his dogs. Darin was musically gifted and good with words. He befriended people easily, was loyal to his family and friends, and had a generous heart and adventurous spirit. A private memorial service will be held.
