Danny R Grindstaff

Danny R. Grindstaff 75, died January 2, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born September 24, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas to Charles N and Marie (Morgan) Grindstaff. On January 29, 1983 he married Rita JoAnn Stanley at the Sedgwick United Methodist Church in Sedgwick and she survives of the home.

Danny was retired from AGCO in Hesston where he worked as a welder and forklift driver from 1974 to 2010. He was a man of quiet faith who was always glad to lend a helping hand to those in need. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and was part of the former GWRRA group. He also looked forward to trips to Colorado where he took many photo's of flowers and nature through the years.  Danny was also a photographer for the Kansas Twisters which was part of his motorcycle group.  His greatest joy was being a loving husband, father and friend to many.

He is survived by his wife Rita of the home; sons Michael (Shelly) Grindstaff; Gary (Ylonda) Grindstaff; Gene Grindstaff and Aaron (Rita) Grindstaff. daughter Charlene Grindstaff and brother Raymond Dyer. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton.  Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday January 8, 2024 at Petersen Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.
