Clyde Otte

Clyde H. Otte, 88, was called home on Saturday, August 9th, 2025 at Pine Village surrounded by his family.

Clyde was born April 19, 1937 in Galva Kansas. To Herman H. and Hulda E. (Vogts) Otte. He was baptized on May 24, 1937. He was confirmed March 18, 1951 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He graduated from Canton High School. After graduation he went to work at Hesston Corporation. A couple years later he and his cousin Eldon Otte enlisted in the United States Army in 1958. After returning home he married Juanita (Bahre) Otte on January 23, 1963 and shared 55 loving years together.

Clyde worked at Hesston Corporation as a welder for 42 years, and was a farmer for most of his life. Clyde and Juanita raised three daughters on the family farm.

Clyde was very committed to his faith throughout his life, serving as a youth group leader with Juanita and as a member of the Lutheran Laymens League.

Clyde is survived by his children, Lisa Otte of Hutchinson, Lora Otte and Cheryl Otte of Moundridge; grandchildren Dustin Otte, Leah Otte and Olivia (Otte) Blaylock; and sister-in-law Dorothy Otte of Galva.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Juanita; two brothers; Glenn Otte, Gary Otte; and one sister; Lois Rodden.

His visitation will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Canton on August 15th at 9a.m. and his service will be at 10a.m. on the same day.
