Doug Heilman, 73, died November 28, 2023 at Lakepoint Wichita. He was born November 28,
1950 in Wichita, Kansas to Charles Edwin and Delores Ann (Pickerill) Heilman.


Doug worked as a private security guard among other jobs during his work years. He was
incredibly proud to have served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war
and later continued to serve in the Army National Guard.


He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Cory) Walker of Eureka Springs, AR; son, Jason Heilman
of Wichita, KS; daughter, Amy Zoch of Menominee, MI; mother, Dee Heilman of Wichita, KS; and sister, Linda Spears of Haysville, KS. He is also survived by four grandchildren.


Doug is preceded in death by his father, Chuck Heilman; brother, Jeff Heilman; sister-in-law, Kay
Heilman; and grandson, Connor Walker.


Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Petersen Funeral Home
Chapel, 215 N. Main St., Newton, Kansas with Pastors Lisa and Cory Walker presiding.


Memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
