Carol “Jean” Harms 82, died Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at her Newton residence. She was born April 4, 1941 to Earl and Anna (Otto) Bullock, in Cedar County, Missouri. She married Arthur Harms on May 15, 1971, in Wichita and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2010.
Jean ran a drapery business before she became a housekeeper. Jean enjoyed cleaning and organizing, and it was very evident in the care of her own home and cars. She also enjoyed spending time doing puzzles and was often found out in her gardens tending flowers and plants. In her later years, she became a “diehard KC Chiefs” fan due to her favorite Son-in-law Mikey. Her greatest joy was her family and being a loving wife, mother and "Mamo".
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl McEuen, Darla Kasper (Kevin) and brothers Robert Bullock and Frances “Lee” Bullock. She is also survived by two grandchildren Dustin Stevens and Kaylee (Connor) Nightingale, and 2 great grandchildren, Joshua Torrez and Canon Nightingale.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, sister Barbara Mayer and 2 bothers: Dale Stanley and Ronald Bullock, and Son-in-law Michael McEuen.
