Billie M. Vetter passed away Saturday July 22, 2023 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.  She had been a resident there for the last 7 years.  

Billie was born August 6, 1936  to Harry and Agnes Hinton in Newton, KS.  She lived in Sedgwick, KS and graduated from Sedgwick High School in 1954.

On August 28, 1954, Billie married Gerald F. Vetter at St Mary’s Church, Newton, KS.

She is survived by 3 children, Mark (Ann) Vetter, Gerald R (Deanna) Vetter and Kimberly Fiessinger, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by parents, husband, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Billie enjoyed her family, gardening and making peppernuts at Christmas.

Visitation is 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Thursday July 27, 2023 at Peterson Family Funeral Chapel.  A graveside service will occur at 12:30, July 27, at St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, in Newton, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made out to Good Shepherd Hospice, and left in care of Petersen Family Funeral Home.
