Beulah Collins, 82, of Newton passed away on August 17, 2016. She was born to
Benjamen and Alice Wood on February 11, 1934 in Portis, Kansas. Beulah
attended school in Portis and then Downs, Kansas where she graduated in 1952.
Beulah married Gerald Collins in 1952, and the couple moved to Beloit, Kansas
and started their family. Together they had four children Rick, Gary, Rodney and
Daria. In 1966 the family moved to Newton, where Beulah and Gerald remained.
Beulah loved cooking for her family, her meatloaf was a crowd favorite. She
collected all kinds of birds, and loved every kind of doll. Beulah is preceded in
death by her parents, Benjamen and Alice Wood; husband, Gerald Collins;
brother, Bill Wood; and sister, Lucille Hatfield. She is survived by sons, Rick (Angie)
Collins, Gary Collins, and Rodney Collins; daughter, Daria (Bill) Graves;
grandchildren, Aaron, Clancy, Tara, Jeremy, Corey, Josh, and Jake; sister Jean
Edwards and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside service will be held Friday,
August 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm., in Restlawn Garden of Memory Cemetery, Newton.
