Barbara Ann Raner

Barbara Ann (Glass) Raner, 75, died July 14, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on January 15, 1951, in Newton, Kansas to Dale and Myrtle Glass. On December 29, 1986, she married John N. Raner at Newton, Kansas and he survives.

Barbara was a long-time Peabody resident and retired as a restaurant cook. She loved to be social and spend time with people. She was loved by those who worked with her.

She is survived by her husband John; brother Phillip Glass and several loving nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by her parents, son James Franklin Glass, brother Alex Glass and a sister Wanda Platt.

Graveside committal service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2026, at Restlawn Gardens of Memory rural Newton. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Petersen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor’s choice in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
