Audrey H. Zimmerman

Audrey H. Zimmerman, age 93, of Newton, Kansas entered her heavenly home on Saturday September 06, 2025. Audrey was born November 24, 1931, the daughter of Anthony and Helena (Sulzman) Zodrow in western Kansas. She Graduated from Leoville High School. Audrey married Simon P. Zimmerman on November 10, 1956, in Leoville, Kansas.

Audrey is survived by her son Sam (Stef) Zimmerman of Newton, Kansas; Daughter's Sandy Phenneger, Nancy Hiebert both of Newton, Kansas; and Annette (chuck) Knauss of Hesston Kansas; Grandson's Cody, Shane Knauss and Kevan, Derrick Phenneger; granddaughters Angela and Rebecca Schmidt, Sara Shell, Kristy Hermstein, Amy Phenneger. 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Audrey is proceeded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, her husband Simon P. Zimmerman, son Martin Zimmerman. Audrey was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church her entire life in Newton. Audrey had a love for animals.

Open visitation will be from 1:00-3:30p.m. on Sunday September 14, 2025, with a recitation of the rosary from 3:30-4:00p.m. followed by family visitation from 4:00-5:00p.m. all at Petersen funeral home.

Memorial Mass will be at 9:00a.m. Monday September 15, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary cemetery.
